Information to help plan a fun, safe and memorable evening:

• This year Trunk or Treat will be held on October 28th from 4:30-7pm on the blacktop behind the gymnasium. 
• There is no cost for this event, which is brought to you by your Home & School Association.
• We will ask both Trunkers and Treaters to sign up on the Greater Giving registration page found here (https://sjdlschool.ejoinme.org/MyEvents/2023TrunkorTreatandGhoulishGrub/tabid/1385619/Default.aspx)
• It is important that everyone who plans to attend this event register so that we can plan appropriately. We will have a check in table at the gate. 
• Pizza from Round Table and tacos from Tacos El Bandito Express will be available beginning at 4:30, so get there early and get your children to eat some good food before the sugar rush!
• Trunk or Treating will begin at 5:00 and conclude by 6:30 to allow the Treaters to exit safely before the Trunkers begin moving their vehicles.
• There will be prizes awarded at the end of the night for best trunks!

Information for Trunkers:

• Trunkers will decorate their trunks and provide individually wrapped treats (be prepared for a large crowd, last year I handed out over 400 pieces of candy!)
• We ask that Trunkers arrive between 3:30 and 4pm to begin set up. Trunkers will enter through the front/Main Street lot and follow the guidance of the parent volunteers.  
• For everyone's safety, Trunkers will need to have their vehicles parked by 4pm to avoid cars entering and driving in the lot once the children begin arriving.
• We ask that Trunkers be willing to stay until about 7pm, also to avoid cars moving in and out of the lot while children are around.

Information for Treaters:

• Treaters should plan to arrive through the back/First St. gate at/after 4:30pm.
• Please be sure to register all who plan to attend on the Greater Giving site.
• Costumes must adhere to the SJDL costume guidelines (See Parent-Student Handbook)
• We ask that Treaters begin to exit between 6:30-7pm to allow Trunkers to safely move their vehicles by 7pm.
