Week of February 10 - 14
Lord,
Grant me wisdom to see Your truth and discernment to follow Your will.
Guide my heart and mind in every decision,
that I may walk in Your light with faith and humility.
Fill me with Your Spirit, that I may choose what is right and just.
I trust in You, Lord—lead me always.
In Jesus' name. Amen.

Prayer Requests for SJDL Families
This past week, two of our families experienced the heartache of losing loved ones. We ask everyone to keep the Salyards family in their thoughts as they mourn the loss of Mr. Charles Barrantes, beloved grandfather of Abby (7) and father of Mrs. Salyards, and the Chipp family as they grieve Mr. Frank Lanak, Nina (8) and Will's (Alumni) beloved grandfather and father of Mrs. Chipp. May God comfort the Salyard and Chipp families and bless them with the peace of knowing their loved ones are resting in the eternal love of Jesus.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Catholic Schools Outshine Public Schools in Nation’s Report Card
If Catholic schools were a state, they would rank first in NAEP scale scores for grades 4 and 8 in math and reading.
“In Catholic schools, faith and academics are seamlessly woven together, fostering not only intellectual growth but also moral and spiritual formation,” said Dr. Steven F. Cheeseman, NCEA President/CEO.

Father Tom, from Saint Thomas More Parish, stopped by to visit our students who are making their First Reconciliation soon. Please keep our students preparing to receive Reconciliation and First Eucharist in your prayers.

We are committed to providing our students with a secure and innovative digital learning environment. As part of this ongoing effort, we will be transitioning from Mosyle MDM (Mobile Device Management) to Jamf MDM in the coming weeks. This change will allow us to better manage school-issued devices, enhance security, and optimize our approach to emerging technologies, particularly in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Why the Change?
Jamf MDM offers advanced features that align with our commitment to responsible and effective technology use, including:
- Enhanced AI-Driven Security: Jamf provides stronger AI-based monitoring and security tools to protect student data and ensure safe device usage.
- Improved Device Management: The transition will allow for more seamless updates, better app deployment, and stronger oversight of educational tools.
- Smarter AI Integration: With AI becoming more prevalent in education, Jamf enables us to implement responsible AI usage while maintaining a safe and structured digital environment for our students.
What This Means for You and Your Child in Grades 3-8
- Students will be provided with the steps they will need to take on their devices AT HOME that will automatically enroll the device in Jamf.
- Students may experience brief interruptions in access as we complete the transition.
- Our teachers will provide support to ensure a smooth migration with minimal to no disruption regarding the school's network access and learning platforms on student devices.
We appreciate your support as we continue to enhance our students' digital learning experience.
