January 27
Lord,
Grant me wisdom to see Your truth and discernment to follow Your will.
Guide my heart and mind in every decision,
that I may walk in Your light with faith and humility.
Fill me with Your Spirit, that I may choose what is right and just.
I trust in You, Lord—lead me always.
In Jesus' name. Amen.

Banning cellphones in schools gains popularity
"The push for cellphone bans has been driven by concerns about the impact screen time has on children’s mental health and complaints from teachers that cellphones have become a constant distraction in the classroom. At least eight states have enacted such bans over the past two years, and proposals are being considered in several more states this year." Read more...
SJDL Uniform Policy Update
Expanded Polo Shirt Options
We would like to inform you of an update to the Saint Jeanne De Lestonnac school uniform policy. In an effort to provide more flexibility and choice for our students, both boys and girls may now wear polo shirts in the colors white, light blue, or navy.
While the Vicki Marsha website is being updated to reflect this change, please follow these guidelines for purchasing light blue and navy polo shirts:
- Light blue polos can be found under the "Boys Uniform" section.
- Navy blue polos can be found under the "Girls Uniform" section.
- For boys, please select the Classic style shirt when placing your order.
- Thank you for your continued adherence to our school uniform policy.
WCEA Visiting Committee Comments - Celebrating our Catholic Identity
The Visiting Committee was deeply impressed by the evident dedication and Christ-centered atmosphere at Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School, as demonstrated by faculty, staff, students, and parents. The school's commitment to transparency, the philosophical foundation of Signa and Unitas, fosters trust and collaboration within the school community. This dedication enhances the school's reputation as a premier choice for families seeking high-quality Catholic education.
Families Helping Families - Operation Be Kind
We would like to thank the entire Saint Jeanne community for your donations. With the help of Operation Be Kind, as well as student and parent volunteers, we were able to make 50 care packages for firefighters and 100 care packages for fire victims.
Please continue to pray for our first responders and those affected by the fires.
Thank you, and God bless you.
We are excited to celebrate Grandparents' & Special Persons' Day this Friday, January 31st!

Please keep praying for all those suffering in the wildfires sweeping through southern California. My heart goes out to our neighbors who have lost their homes and livelihoods. Let’s pray for them and let’s pray for our firefighters and first responders. May God keep all of our brothers and sisters safe and bring end to these fires! – Archbishop Gomez

Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week. Schools typically observe the annual celebration week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation.
