Week of March 17 - 21
"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." - Philippians 3:20
This verse reminds us that our ultimate home is with God, and during Lent, we are called to turn our hearts toward Him, seeking transformation and renewal in Christ.
Heavenly Father,
We seek to be citizens of heaven, as St. Paul reminds us,
Knowing that our true home is with You.
Strengthen us on this journey of faith,
That we may walk in the footsteps of Jesus
And one day share in His eternal glory.
Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

As good Catholics, we abstain from meat on Lenten Fridays as a form of penance, remembering Christ’s sacrifice. Fish is allowed as an alternative, so we invite everyone to join local parishes for their Lenten Fish Fry—enjoy a meal and fellowship with the church community!

Lancers Care

On Friday, the Class of 2025 fulfilled their Lancers Care service project by volunteering at the Orange County Rescue Mission Village of Hope. The eighth-graders learned about the Mission, toured the campus, and worked in the warehouse sorting food and hygiene donations. Thank you to the parents who volunteered alongside us and to all those who donated hygiene supplies. We were proud to serve this outstanding faith-based organization that truly lives out a life of service according to the Gospels.
Living Out Our Faith: Jazslyne Carpio’s Service Project in the Philippines

We are so proud of Jazslyne Carpio (7) for embracing the spirit of service while visiting the Philippines with her parents!
Jazslyne and her family organized a charity event to serve 100 children in a local village, providing them with meals and dental care kits. Her heartfelt initiative reflects the values we cherish at Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School—compassion, generosity, and faith in action.
When we reached out to Jazslyne to express how proud we are of her, she responded with a powerful testimony about the impact of Catholic education:
"I believe going to a Catholic school has really shown me that helping others less fortunate than me can make a difference. Something small from me can be something big for them."
Her words and actions beautifully exemplify the mission of our school and the Company of Mary’s dedication to forming students who lead with love and service.
Lord, give us the love and the generosity to serve our brothers and sisters in need, so in loving and serving them, we may love and serve you, and thus one day hear you welcome us into your eternal kingdom. Amen.

Parents need to know about the Snap Map feature on Snapchat
It's real-time location sharing, down to a street address. Many kids accept anyone as their Snapchat friend, which means there's a good chance they are sharing their location with strangers.
How can you keep your kids safe on Snapchat?
Your best bet is not allowing your child on Snapchat. Over the last seven years, there are thousands of heartbreaking stories about online predators, inappropriate pictures, and cyberbullying. About 70% of those stories involve Snapchat.
If your child is on Snapchat and removing it is not an option for your family, turn on Ghost Mode in the settings. Ghost Mode disables location sharing on the Snap Map. There are simply to many dangers and unknowns for children to share their location on social media.
Check out this recent TV segment where Ben Tracy (SafeSocialNetwork.com) talks about the Snap Map, why it's important for parents to wait to give access to social media, and his run across America to keep kids safe online.
