Life of Service according to the Gospel

November 4

God of peace and understanding, we come to You with hearts longing for calm in the midst of uncertainty. As our nation journeys through election week, we ask that You grant us patience, respect, and unity. Soften our words, open our ears to truly listen, and guide our actions to reflect compassion and understanding.

Give us clarity of mind and calmness of heart, grounding us in Your love that transcends division. Help us trust in Your wisdom and grace, remembering that You are present in all things, holding us steady through all storms. May peace flow through our hearts and spread to all we encounter.

in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Benchmark Assessments Coming - Winter Assessment Window

During the week of November 18, we will begin the next round of our Benchmark Assessements. Benchmark assessments are essential for measuring growth because they provide periodic checkpoints to gauge student progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust instruction accordingly. By giving these assessments at regular intervals, teachers can see whether students are on track to meet end-of-year goals, allowing for timely interventions if necessary.

We hope that parents will continue to partner with us in providing a proper mindset of the students, providing a healthy breakfast, and encouragement to doing their best. Thank you and we will provide you with more information as the testing window approaches.

Bullying Webinar for Parents - Offered by New Hope Counseling

Learn about what bullying is and isn't, how to prevent it, how to promote more empathy, and how to help children cope with its impact. Addressing this topic can help your child improve academically and emotionally at school.

Nov 4th, 6:30 to 8 pm. $20 per household. Webinar will not be recorded.

Pray the Rosary with our Prayer Warriors!

We warmly invite you to join the Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Prayer Warriors in praying the Holy Rosary every Wednesday mornings immediately after drop-off, in our school chapel. This is a beautiful opportunity to come together as a community, lift up our intentions, and grow in faith as we seek the intercession of Our Blessed Mother.

Whether you're new to the Rosary or have been praying it for years, your presence and prayers are most welcome. Let us join our hearts in prayer for our students, our school, and all the needs of our community.

All are welcome!

Red Ribbon Drug Awareness and Enforcement Week

Saint Jeanne students were treated to presentations and demonstrations by the Tustin PD, Orange County Sheriff's Department, and National Guard Reservists this past week, focusing on law enforcement and drug awareness. Everyone involved praised our students for their engagement, respect and overall teamwork during "Work Together to Succeed" drills.

We thank our Student Council for all their hard work in planning and making the week fun and informative.

Winter Season - Basketball Coming Soon

We will be sending out a Basketball Interest Form in the coming weeks to identify students interested in trying out for their respective basketball teams, so that we can begin planning for the season. We hope that all 5th-8th grade students who want to learn the fundamentals, improve their skills, and participate in basketball will sign up. The season runs from November 18 through the beginning of February. We will have more information regarding practices and games, but for now we hope to see your child(ren) come out and join our Lancer Athletics Program.

If you are interested in becoming a Lancer Athletics Sponsor providing addtional uniforms, watm-ups, etc. for our teams, please email Mr. McKee (lancertech@sjdlschool.com) for information.
