Prayer for Our Nation
Heavenly Father,
We humbly ask for Your wisdom and guidance for our president and leaders. Grant them righteous discernment, courage, and integrity to lead with justice and compassion. Bless our nation with unity, peace, and prosperity, that we may work together for the common good.
May Your light guide our path, and Your will be done in all things.
In Jesus' name. Amen.

Rosary Retreat Day
Saint Jeanne's seventh-grade students participated in the Mass, the prayer, and reflection activities at Rosary High School this past week. We are proud of how well they represented the school and their families during this wonderful and meaningful experience.
Are Today’s Students Really Less Independent Than Previous Generations?
Are adolescents less independent thinkers and decisionmakers now than they were a decade ago? Many educators would answer that question with an emphatic “yes!”
A good number of teachers and principals in middle and high school report that their students are struggling to direct their own learning, advocate for themselves, and take responsibility for their education. Read more...
SJDL Uniform Policy Update
Expanded Polo Shirt Options
We would like to inform you of an update to the Saint Jeanne De Lestonnac school uniform policy. In an effort to provide more flexibility and choice for our students, both boys and girls may now wear polo shirts in the colors white, light blue, or navy.
While the Vicki Marsha website is being updated to reflect this change, please follow these guidelines for purchasing light blue and navy polo shirts:
- Light blue polos can be found under the "Boys Uniform" section.
- Navy blue polos can be found under the "Girls Uniform" section.
For boys, please select the Classic style shirt when placing your order.
Thank you for your continued adherence to our school uniform policy.

Please keep praying for all those suffering in the wildfires sweeping through southern California. My heart goes out to our neighbors who have lost their homes and livelihoods. Let’s pray for them and let’s pray for our firefighters and first responders. May God keep all of our brothers and sisters safe and bring end to these fires! – Archbishop Gomez
Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week. Schools typically observe the annual celebration week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation.

Spring Sports Interest Form
The Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Athletics Program attempts to provide a variety of options for students during the Spring Season. In order for the school to forecast, determine resources and register teams with the Parochial Athletic League, we would like you to take a moment to let us know what your child(ren) may be interested in during the Spring Season which runs from the end of February through April.
Lancer Athletics Options for Spring
- Girls Flag Football (5th-8th Grades)
- Boys Volleyball (5th-8th Grades)
- Intramural Coed Soccer (5th-8th Grades)
We will, of course, send more detailed information as it becomes available, however, this is simply an inform interest form to see what numbers may be available for each sport.
Please note that the Intramural Coed Soccer team will have limited or no "competitions" against other schools. Unfortunately, the schools in North Orange County are not hosting soccer and are not planning to do so this coming season.
Basketball Announcements
Please note that the Boys A and B games at Holy Family needed to be flipped. So, the Boys' B Team will play at 3:30pm and the Boys' A Team will now be at 4:30pm.
Our Boys' A and Boys' B teams have been registered to play in the Santa Margarita Basketball Tournament over the weekend of January 25-26. Game times are not yet available, however, planning would be from 8am-5pm each day.
Mater Dei girls' varsity basketball is holding a one-day showcase of games in support of the Kay Yow Cancer Foundation on Saturday, January 11. This is a great way for the girls' teams to get out and see what basketball is like on the high school level and help raise money for a great cause. Rosary and Mater Dei are both participating at different times of the day along with some other outstanding teams.
