Life of Service according to the Gospel

November 18

Heavenly Father,
I come before You, humbly asking for a heart like Yours — one that seeks to serve and give rather than to be served.
Fill me with Your compassion for others, so that I may see Christ in each person I meet.
Grant me a spirit of humility, that I may not seek recognition or reward, but only to do Your will in love.
Help me to understand that true greatness is found in serving others and that in every small act of kindness, Your love is spread.
Strengthen me to act in Your name, to bring peace where there is conflict, comfort where there is sorrow, and light where there is darkness.
Transform my heart and mind so that all I do may glorify You and bring others closer to Your eternal love

in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Benchmark Assessments Coming - Winter Assessment Window

We have decided to postpone the Winter Assessment Window to the week of December 2. We feel this will give some of our students the opportunity to complete a progress monitoring assessment, and it will also help avoid conflicts with students who may be leaving early for Thanksgiving break.

Pray the Rosary with our Prayer Warriors!

We warmly invite you to join the Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Prayer Warriors in praying the Holy Rosary every Wednesday mornings immediately after drop-off, in our school chapel. This is a beautiful opportunity to come together as a community, lift up our intentions, and grow in faith as we seek the intercession of Our Blessed Mother.

Whether you're new to the Rosary or have been praying it for years, your presence and prayers are most welcome. Let us join our hearts in prayer for our students, our school, and all the needs of our community.

All are welcome!

Help Spread the Word!

We would love to spend time with your public school neighbors, family, friends, colleagues, and anyone else you may tell about our great school in the coming week. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School is a top Orange County institution, known for its rigorous academics, values-based education, and inclusive community. With outstanding facilities, a dedicated faculty, and a low student-to-teacher ratio, it offers personalized learning that nurtures students’ minds and character. Saint Jeanne prepares well-rounded, compassionate leaders through strong academics, diverse extracurriculars, and a warm, engaged community. Families choose Saint Jeanne for an education that blends academic excellence with faith and personal growth.

Forward this link and we will be happy to provide them with information and schedule a tour.

"Yours is a great gift to the Church, a great gift to your nation."
- Saint Pope John Paul II

Countless people in our country have been blessed by the many gifts of Catholic schools. However, many adults have lost touch with their local Catholic school community. It is time for those people who have been impacted by your school to reconnect with the community that gave them so much, and give back. If you, or know anyone who would like to give to Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School, please contact Sister Cecilia Durán ([email protected]).

Educational Improvement Plan: Domain #1 Goal

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School will increase service opportunities fostering a culture where students can embrace the importance of serving others and actively fulfill the school's mission.

In line with this goal, we are blessed to offer the following opportunities, namely the Thanksgiving Food Drive and the Adopt-A-Family Christmas drive for our students. We hope that parents will partner with our Educational Imporvement Plan Goal and help their child(ren) understand the importance of honoring God through serving others.

Winter Season - Basketball

Basketball season will begin this week, with the 7th and 8th grade teams practicing from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, and the 5th and 6th grade teams practicing from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. We are excited to have a group of dedicated coaches who are committed to fostering growth and building team dynamics that are fully aligned with the school's mission and philosophy. Based on the number of athletes expressing interest in playing, we hope not to limit the number of players on each team; however, coachability, effort, and attitude remain key factors in determining participation in the Lancer Athletics Program.
